Maybe there are better places, but afaik most ss/lb farmers are in Remains of Sahlahja.
They have two quests, that will bring more enemies and bosses (area: The Sulfurous Wastes): * a show of force * requiem for a brain If you completed (one of) those quests, dont take the reward, otherwise you cant repeat it. If needed, abbandon the quest and take it again... Last edited by GODh; Sep 12, 2009 at 11:12 AM // 11:12.. Reason: typos + links |

There's a list of lightbringer point farms and their average points per hour on wiki.

As GODh said, one way to do it is to farm for the Sunspear/Lightbringer points in the Sulfurous Wastes using the quests "Requiem for a Brain" and "A Show of Force". If you completed either of these quests, I reckon it's not hard finding someone who hasn't this weekend and party up with them for farming the points.
Another way to farm for the points is to vanquish area's in Istan and Kourna (Sunspear points) or Vabbi and the Desolation (Lightbringer points), these gain you the points you would get from the creatures under their respective bounties AND Sunspear/Lightbringer points (depending on which area, see above) worth 5 times the amount of total creatures you killed while vanquishing. |

No, but HM increases the points you get per monster by quite a bit, and lets bosses give you massive points after killing 25 regular enemies of the same species. Plus, HM gives much better drops, if you're in to that kind of thing.

You don't have to, but you get much more points in HM. As you can see from the link I gave you, in NM a good average would be 800 points per hour, while in HM you can get over 3000. The Sulfurous Wastes farm is extremely easy in HM because of the Junundu.

There is a book, Night Falls, that you can fill now (fully or partially), but I don't know how that compares to other ways of getting LB points. I did mine in the Domain of Secrets (in HM, h&h) for the points and chests (and greens).
Edit - btw, double point weekends are just a weekend. Last edited by Quaker; Sep 12, 2009 at 03:22 PM // 15:22.. |

While this is another viable method, I do not believe it benefits from the double Sunspear/Lightbringer points event (correct me if I'm wrong on that).

By the way Fabez, you're right. Books do not get doubled this weekend.

Wrong. You can get to max rank lightbringer in NM with bounties. It is just sunspear that has a cutoff for bounties in NM, but this thread is about lightbringer points. See the normal mode cut-offs section of this wiki page for more info.

SS/LB farm as mentioned, vanq, or if you're a perma: gloom farm ftw. I got to full rank without noticing just running guildies, and people for the challenge xD.

I like nightfallen jahai HM runs.
Maybe not the fastest, but more lively than going afk with henchmen in some worms |
